e.l.f. haul!

A while ago I was looking for makeup for a "Party like a rockstar" bunco. I bought a $1 e.l.f. eyeshadow compact because who cares about the quality for just a fun night! It also helped that it had great colors. It's labeled 'Brightening Eye Color'. I bought it for the pink shade at Target.

It worked better than I hoped! So I signed up for their emails and also bought their $1 eyebrow-mascara clear gel. I was pleasantly surprised by how much the eyebrow gel changed my look. I have one eye brow that has always given me an issue. It has some unruly hairs that I have trimmed and in desperation plucked. This really helped keep them in place!

I got a coupon emailed to me that was too good to pass up so I placed an order. I believe the coupon was for 50% off any e.l.f. studio line. They have three different lines: Studio, mineral and essential. I placed an order that totaled $27 and here's what I got

I bought (from l to r, bottom row then top) Eye Primer & Liner Sealer, Glitter Gloss in Glam Guava, Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Everyday Classics, Makeup Lock & Seal, Daily Brush Cleaner, Eyeshadow C Brush, Tropical Teal, Matte Charcoal & Innocent Ivory loose eye shadow powders and Makeup Mist & Seal. The only product that I have yet to try from this group is the Lock & Seal.

I have been thoroughly pleased with every product! My favorite is for sure the Daily Brush Cleaner because I am such a slacker about cleaning my brushes as I should. The Eye Primer & Liner Sealer is fabulous! The Sealer end turns any eye shadow into a liquid eyeliner! The C brush is also very good. No bristle loss and its much better quality than brushes which I have paid way more for. The eyeshadow palette is hit or miss. There are some colors that have a rougher texture and some that aren't pigmented enough for my taste. For the price of $5 for 32 shades it is well worth the price.

This is all good to know since I've always had it in my head for some reason that e.l.f. is a cheaper, low quality brand. It looks like it is pigmented very well. Glad to know I am wrong! I would be interested to know where e.l.f. products can be found besides online.

Some of it isn't that great of quality Jennifer but always worth at least the $1-$3 I think. Target & Kmart both have some of their stuff but its limited. The PX on post has some too. I can swatch some of the palette eye shadows if you want so you can see those. There is a gorgeous sparkly brown in there that I adore.

E.L.F is all I use these days. I love love love their stuff and I don't feel like I am breaking the bank when I buy it. My target carries a good selection and sometimes I can find it at walgreens.

I wonder if they have upped their quality because I bought the big eyeshadow palette last year and the pigmentation was awful and it irritated my eyes. It actually looks good in your swatches from that little palette, though. I use the eyebrow gel, too! It works great and you can't beat a buck! Also the brushes are decent quality.

One of the things I said to my friends was I remember e.l.f. being cheap junk. And I was really surprised. I love love the loose pigments. I plan on swatching those soon.
